چکیده

Vespa velutina nigrithorax and auraria are two subspecies of Lepeletier. V. preys managed honey bees, other pollinators, insects. However, the midgut microbiota three forms, namely queens, workers, males have not been reported, thus objective this study was to analyze bacterial diversity forms v. . Our results showed that Proteobacteria , Firmicutes Bacteroidetes Tenericutes Actinobacteria were most abundant phyla, Lactobacillus (17.21%) Sphingomonas (11.39%) genera in We found compositions special, terms richness communities, as well content lactic acid bacteria. By comparing gut from different regions (Japan, South Korea, Italy, China), it discovered very similar at phylum class level, Gammaproteobacteria, Bacilli, Alphaproteobacteria classes bacteria consistent genus Besides, though had quite communities played important roles protection metabolism collected regions. This is first report findings provide insight (especially bacteria) may play The understanding microbiome discovery vital would useful information design pest biological control agents. Thus, significance a basis for relationship between physiology health

The invasion, provenance and diversity of Vespa velutina Lepeletier (Hymenoptera: Vespidae) in Great Britain

The yellow-legged or Asian hornet (Vespa velutina colour form nigrithorax) was introduced into France from China over a decade ago. Vespa velutina has since spread rapidly across Europe, facilitated by suitable climatic conditions and the ability of a single nest to disperse many mated queens over a large area. Yellow-legged hornets are a major concern because of the potential impact they have ...

Establishment of Vespa bicolor in Taiwan (Hymenoptera: Vespidae)

The establishment of a hornet, Vespa bicolor F., in Taiwan was confirmed based on successful field collection of adults of both sexes and two subterranean colonies. Information on nesting habitat, nest measurement, and colony composition of this species are provided in this article. V. bicolor is the ninth hornet species ever recorded from Taiwan. Possible pathway for the introduction of this a...

Morphological caste studies in the neotropical swarm-founding Polistinae wasp Angiopolybia pallens (Lepeletier) (Hymenoptera: Vespidae).

Neotropical swarm-founding wasps present polygynic colonies and a great variation in relation to caste differentiation, ranging from species in which queens and workers are similar in shape and size to those where variation in shape and size is conspicuous. Canonical discriminant analysis and Bonferroni t-test analysis on morphometric data collected from eight body parts of specimens from nine ...

Hymenoptera: Vespidae)

Workers in many insect societies interact via body contact with their nest mates, and social biting and other forms of contact may play a general role in regulating task performance. Here I present evidence that social biting affects task performance without direct reproductive conflict in Polybia occidentalis, a swarm-founding eusocial wasp. Polybia occidentalis workers engaged in social bitin...

Morphometry of the midgut of Melipona quadrifasciata anthidioides (Lepeletier) (Hymenoptera: Apidae) during metamorphosis.

In Hymenoptera, midgut changes begin in the last instar. At this stage, the larval epithelial digestive cells degenerate, leaving only the basal membrane and the regenerative cells which will develop into a new epithelium during the pupal stage and in the adult. Epithelium renewal is followed by changes in volume and shape of the midgut. Morphometric analysis of digestive cells and total midgut...
